A very Prolongued Bday celebration....
For the record, this is one of the best (if not "the best") birthday celebration ever. I loved it. I loved it all. I want to thank everybody who called, who emailed, who face-booked me, who IMed, who came, and (of course) the people who gave me gifts =D hahaha. Every single little "Happy Birthday" was like AMAZING. Even the late ones.

Basically, I had two parties: one with my family and one with my friends from school. The reason for this segregation is because if I am with my friends AND with my family I have a a tendency to pay more attention to my friends than my family. This is not fair to my relatives whom I've known since EVER and who will always be there because friends come and go by. I did however invite Mohammed to my family bday dinner on September 1st. Anyway.

My mom emailed everyone and told them that dinner started at 6:00pm. To her surprise and mine, everyone replied and said they'd be there. However, as it is the case with Latinos... 6:00pm means 8:00pm. So everyone was late. It was okay. Mohammed had come at 6:00pm so we were entertained. Margarita came too and that was pretty neat. Jhoel came and that was cool too. I asked him what we could do now that we were 18. He said we could buy cigarrettes legally. And porn. haha. Most of my relatives hadn't arrived so we called Penny and see if she could crash in and come to chill. She said she was "busy" and "tired" from her trip from Greece and we were like "ah, you lie!" and so yeah. She didn't come.

Don Hernán made argentine meat and my mom made a wonderful tomato salad. Malety made the rice. It was all VERY yummy. I couldn't resist the meat and I ate two pieces. That's a lot considering the fact that I am trying very hard to gradually cut down on meat and become a vegetarian. It's hard when meat literally runs on your blood (aka, on EVERY single family gathering there HAS to be meat). Mo ate and was satisfied. Margarita too. They started to talk about religion. Mo is muslim and Margarita is pagan. That was interesting. O and Muslim Kazim replaced Louis as the 2nd in power in EIP.

Around 9:00pm, we cut the cake. I hate bread cake so we could CHEESECAKE. haha. It was amazing. I got two because one is never enough. I felt odd there just hearing people sing in spanish and english. My mom asked mo to sing in his langauge and eh, he pulled out his mo-ness and said in his culture they didn't celebrate bdays. People were like "WTF" so then silence. It was ackward. They DO celebrate bdays. HE DOESN'T. Not his culture. Anyway. In that moment, Rob came and it was nice. Rob gets hotter every time I see him. It's wrong for me to think this way since he is my cousin's husband but bah, you can't help it.

Mo and Jhoel had to leave early and then came the REST of my cousins. They all went to a football game and were all late. They crashed in at like 1:00am and more meat was served. People started to dance and it was fun. I opened my gifts. I got a decent amount of money and even credit! haha. That reminds me... my godfater gave me a computer O_O A NEW COMPUTER. I HAVE TWO NOW!!!

Frankie, Nidia, Marie, Andy, Andres, Zoé, Tía Daisy, Tía Yolán, Prisci, Rob, Padán, Malety, Tía Elsy, Tío Carlos, Nilda, were all there and it was REALLY nice.

Then came Sari and Fabri and that kicked major-ass. I love them. They just married. They are such a salvadoran couple. Anyhoo. Sari said I looked too pretty and Fabri said he liked my shirt. Well, my boobs DID look nice in that shirt ;) hehehe. I have GOT to STOP thinking about married men. IT'S WRONG. lol.

Sari and I were having a girl talk when my dad called. I was telling her about the XYZ affair. My dad called and it was odd. Eh. Well whatever can one do? He said he was very proud of me and would send me money. He always says the same thing. He only calls during this time of the year and always sends money. But that's it. For the rest of the year, I have no dad.

Sari and I kept talking about guys. She told me that Fabri cheated on her and that now their relationship had actually become better. She told me that she still doesn't trust him and he knows that. I don't know. Sari seems like such a strong woman to me and yet she has withstood so much crap from Fabri. He's a nice guy and yet he reminds me of Noe. He reminds me of all the crap he did to Daisy and how Daisy always forgave him. However, Sari has stucked with Fabri for like 8 years now. Finally they are married. I am glad. I really do hope it all works for them. Fabri is a hard worker and Sari is a very intelligent woman. I'll be going to their house later this week on sat.

Frankie, Nidia, Marie and Andy came. They were all pretty knocked up but still concious enough to come and say happy bday =) Marie asked me where I'll be applying to college. I told her that I would go wherever they accepted me. She said to go to a party school and I said I'd go to UVA with Mario. SHe was like yeah. and I was like, "maybe we hook up and have sex"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! You guys are cousins!"
"uhm, no we are not. He is not my cousin."
"well, you guys are my little cousins."
and then Nidia said "eww yeah, it'd be like the border line of INCEST!"
hahaha. ok ok so I won't be Mrs. Samayoa ever.

People started to leave little by little. In the end, only Sari, Fabri and Don Hernan were the ones left. Not surprinsingly, we started to talk about immigration. Don Hernan said he didn't give a damn if they deported him. He said he didn't need to be in the US to make a living. He had come but he didn't need to stay. I thought this was a nice approach. I'll elaborate later on it.

Then they left. I was alone with my mom and sister and respective birds. It was honestly the best bday ever.

BUT

It wasn't over. Hell, no it was NOT over.
